Dear Club members,
We are more than halfway through our season already and I would like to take this opportunity to thank all our wonderful parents, volunteers and committee members for helping us this season.
I would like to also personally thank the team that organised our Disco last Friday. The club looked amazing, and it was an enormous success.
I do however want to stress some very important issues that have come up recently and remind everyone of the points below :
- Most of our players are juniors and are playing non-competition.
- The referees are human and make mistakes. They should be supported and thanked whether they are right or wrong (especially mini-roo game leaders as they are usually kids themselves)
- Players, coaches, managers and parents from opposing teams should be treated with respect, and we should not engage in verbal abuse with each other.
- It is not the Premier League or the World Cup, win lose or draw, the focus should be on good sporting behaviour, development and fun.
These are core principals of our club and need to be followed. I am very proud of our club and want to ensure we maintain a great reputation in the Sutherland Shire.
Finally, please be aware that council are enforcing the parking restrictions in our car park. Especially be aware of the “area closed to the public spaces” on the right-hand side as you enter the car park.
You will get booked if you park here as it is permit holders only.
I hope you all enjoy the rest of the season and good luck to all our teams.
Thanks
Andy
